OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY
Annunciation parishioners who are baptized Catholics, who have already prepared for and celebrated the sacraments of reconciliation and Eucharist (First Communion), and who are at least 12 years of age by the start of confirmation preparation prepare for the sacrament of confirmation in a family-centered, parish-based process, attended by both the youth and his/her parents and confirmation sponsor. Parents of Catholic children who are enrolled in Annunciation Parish School should note that sacramental preparation does not take place in the school. Catholic children in the school need to register for family, parish-based sacramental preparation.
Confirmation preparation takes place every other year. This preparation takes place here at Annunciation Parish. Annunciation Parish and St. Monica-St. George Parish collaborate for the actual celebration of confirmation, with this celebration alternating between the two parishes. Confirmation was celebrated at St. Monica-St. George Parish during the Easter Season of 2011, and will be celebrated here at Annunciation Parish during the Easter Season of 2013. Family confirmation preparation gatherings will begin here at Annunciation Parish on Thursday, September 27, 2012, preparing for the celebration of confirmation during the Easter Season of 2013. Registration information will be available the summer of 2012.
*Adults who have not been confirmed should contact Father Grogan or Dr. Chakeres for information regarding adult confirmation preparation. E-mail us at faithformation@annunciationbvmparish.org or call us at 513-861-1295.
