OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY
The St. George Interfaith Food Pantry
The first Sunday of each month at Annunciation Parish there is a collection of food and other items which is donated to The St. George Interfaith Food Pantry, located on Dennis Street off Calhoun. The St. George Food Pantry strives to be faithful to Jesus' call to feed the poor. It serves people from zip codes 45217, 45219 and 45220 who are in need of food.
In general, items needed include personal grooming needs, diapers, cleaning supplies, canned fruit and vegetables, canned meats, canned or dry juice mixes, canned or dried beans, pasta, rice and other grains, cereal, and financial assistance. *See below for any special requests from the Food Pantry Director for the upcoming collection.
Volunteers are always needed to bag groceries, package foods, restock shelves, clean, interview and make people feel welcomed. This would be a good outreach project for either an individual or a family. (Children ten years of age and older are welcome to volunteer with their parent.) For further information about volunteering, please contact the St. George Food Pantry Director, Janet Cavanaugh, at 751-8771. To visit the St. George Interfaith Food Pantry web site, click here.
