Sunday Sowers: Gatherings for 3-12 Year Old Youth
Sunday Sowers refers to the parable of the Sower and the Seed. Our Parish Sunday Sowers are youth 3-12 years of age who gather together on Sunday mornings from 10:10-10:50 a.m. (between our 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Masses) to learn more about our Catholic faith by focusing on the Scripture readings proclaimed at Mass on Sunday. Sunday Sowers gatherings are held weekly beginning the first Sunday of Advent and continuing through Pentecost Sunday. For the year of Grace 2011, these gatherings will begin Sunday, November 28, 2010 and conclude Sunday, June 12, 2011. The primary resource is the Celebrating the Lectionary series published by Liturgy Training Publications. This series is published new each year and coordinates with the current year’s Sunday Lectionary Cycle (the Scripture readings proclaimed at Sunday Mass). All children are welcome, but must be formally registered.
