OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY
Annunciation Preschool Religious Education Component
Annunciation Preschool follows all guidelines of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Cincinnati. The religion textbook series used in our preschool at Annunciation Parish School is the God Made Everything early childhood program published by Loyola Press. This series teaches the children that God made all living things, and that therefore, all life is holy. A unique aspect of God's creation is the main focus of each chapter. Active learning reinforces chapter concepts as the children talk, move, play games, color, cut, glue, draw, or create to express themselves and their ideas. Family Time is also a feature at the end of each chapter, which provides essential tools to help parents guide their child and help families live their faith together. The Family Activity Booklet is a free resource provided with additional support and family time fun. Family members can reference activities, poems, and songs learned in the preschool program.
Please note that since our preschool class is multi-aged, we utilize a two-year God Made Everything curriculum. Year I utilizes the text for three-year-olds, God Made Me, while Year II utilizes the text for four-year-olds, God Made the World. The preschool catechist adapts the materials for the various age levels and abilities of the students enrolled. During the 2011-2012 academic year, our preschool students will be in Year I of this cycle. For more information about this religion program, click here.
